Family holiday in Taiwan
11 days together in Taiwan was quite a feat for the 7 of us in the family, including our youngest who was then 15 month old. However everyone agreed that it was one of the best family holidays ever! It reminded us to be thankful for one another.
So here’s sharing some clips from our lovely holiday in November 2012

Holiday in Bangkok with my younger daughter
My 2nd daughter Tjia-Yi will be a teenager soon, and I realise that she is growing up fast. In spite of our busyness, my husband and I are constantly reminding ourselves to be intentional parents, So we do try to prioritize some of our time for our children as they are growing up.
So I planned a short trip to Bangkok ,this time with my 2nd daughter.
We did the eating and shopping thing, and had a very good time.

Holiday in Hong Kong
My eldest daughter and I planned a short holiday together during her college semester break last June.
It was an opportunity for mother and daughter to just spend some fun quality time together in the midst of all our busy schedules.
We had lots of food..
.
We did some touristy things together.
It was a lovely lovely time together with Tjia-Ern and we are looking forward to more times like this.

Another year and I am celebrating my anniversary again…
How time flies….
I thought I had just posted some photos on my last anniversary trip to Macau and HongKong and now,I just came back from another trip away with dear husband for our 19th anniversary.
We went to Phuket for a very nice 3-day break . I am thankful that I can go off for breaks and holidays knowing that I have my associates and staff in the clinic who will take good care of things for me.
We rented a motorcycle (which was quite a common thing to do on Phuket island if you want to get around) and did some serious road trips!
Then of course there is glorious Thai food!!

Happy 2012
It’s another new year! Wow,I was just trying to catch up with the past few months that seemed to be whizzing past me and before I know it,the year 2011 had come to an end!
The year that passed has been a very eventful year, the highlight being Tjia-Xin,who turns 5 months old in a few days time, the latest addition to our family 🙂
I am really thankful for good health, that at my not-so-young age,I went through a easy and comfortable pregnancy and labor.
And its really great to have so many helpers around the house.
Well,2012 is definitely going to be exciting!

My annual anniversary get-away
I just came back from a short but superb holiday together with my husband of 18 years. We try to make it a point to go away somewhere by ourselves during this time of the year to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It is usually just a 3 or 4- day trip but it is always such a wonderful experience and we come home knowing that we are rejuvenated in our relationship. Our children can see that too and it is one of the best ways to assure them and to give them a sense of security.
Some holiday photos in Macau and Hong Kong to share, mostly of us eating!
We had one of the best Portuguese egg tarts I’ve ever tasted,in this quaint little village at the southern tip of Macau, called Coloane.

How I spent Mother’s Day this year…
I spent the entire day at a dental conference, amidst the outcry from my children!
Nevertheless,I had a wonderful weekend. I had dinner with my family on Saturday night at a nice cosy restaurant in a local mall, where all the children said something appreciative about me. Really touched me.
Then after my conference on Sunday, my dear husband took me for a dinner for “daddy appreciates mummy” dinner…mmm

Chinese New Year 2009
We just recently celebrated the Lunar Chinese New Year of 2009.
This year,to my great relief,we did not need to travel out of town. The vivid visual memories of traffic jams of the worst kind still flashes through my mind every now and then.So ,to my delight,my parents, siblings and in-laws graciously agreed to come to Kuala Lumpur/Petaling Jaya to celebrate the New Year with us.
It mattered not that I had more than 20 persons staying at my home throughout the period.I was more than happy to house everyone.
Here are some snapshots of all the food and fun 🙂
What is Chinese New Year without the giving of ang pows and mandarin oranges!
